Postdoc Positions: Call for Applications

Two postdocs in cryptography and related areas

EXCS (Estonian eXcellence in Computer Science), is a new Estonian centre of excellence (CoE) 2008-2015 that has just been awarded 66.4 MEEK (ca 4.25 MEUR) of ERDF funds.

Within this CoE we are currently seeking two postdoctoral fellows to join the cryptography group centered at Cybernetica AS, see http://research.cyber.ee/~lipmaa/estoniancrypto/. The positions may be located either in Tartu or Tallinn. We are primarily looking for candidates in cryptography, but excellent candidates in related areas, especially computer security and complexity theory/algorithmics, are encouraged to apply.

The contracts are initially for two years, renewable for further two years. The preferred start date can be negotiated but should be as soon as possible. Depending on the successful applicants' qualifications and track record, the gross salary can vary between 28000..35000 EEK (1800..2250 EUR) per month, which is highly competitive against the sectoral salaries and the living cost in Estonia. Estonian income tax is approximately 21%. The employment arrangement includes access to the Estonian public healthcare system.
